The role is very much open to definition for the right candidate. There is the opportunity to develop the production controller role further as the company has a growing new media department as well as a potential additional design requirement that an organised and talented candidate could take on. Previous experience of contract publishing is preferable but not essential.
For this role an enthusiastic self starter is needed who can work off their own initiative and not be fazed by sizeable multiple projects. As a production controller you will need to have good organizational skills, be a strong project manager and have a thorough understanding of print production and software. You ideally will also have had experience of working in a small but busy editorial department including all elements of the production process.
